Favourite mode of transport: On a bus while it’s crossing the river Thames, either northbound off to a museum or southbound home to my cats.
Cat Whitehouse

Favourite mode of transport: Walking, especially if there’s a beautiful river or seaside next to me, or a dog to meet on the way.
Daisy Holder
Project Lead: History of Accessible Transport
Favourite mode of transport: Definitely the train. Designated chill out time while the world whizzes past.

Favourite mode of transport: Walking! For longer distances, a super off-peak train.

Emma Vogelmann

Favourite mode of transport: I like trains because I like chatting to the person sitting near me. Even if they’ve given me no signs they want to talk. We’ll be best friends by the time we get there!

Consultants
Dr Amy Kavanagh
Associate Consultant
Favourite mode of transport: I love travelling on the London Underground, the turn up and go service gives me independence and confidence as a blind Londoner. Also Guide Dog Ava loves escalators!
Jen Rooney
Associate Consultant
Favourite mode of transport: It was cycling before my ski accident, so now the next best thing for a Canadian like me is taking a double decker bus!
Zaineb Hadi
Associate Consultant
Favourite mode of transport: Trains, especially when quieter and there’s a good view. I’m also really appreciating the new Elizabeth line!
Celestine Fraser
Associate Consultant
Favourite mode of transport: Taking the Eurostar out of our tiny island and across the channel, when I can! Or walking, as this was something I wasn’t able to do for years.
Camilla Gordon
Associate Consultant
Favourite mode of transport: Anything on water... even better if it floats.
Board of trustees
Deborah Persaud
Co-Chair of Trustees
Favourite mode of transport: Not so much these days, but as a motorcycle passenger I love experiencing the sights and sounds of town and country. Failing that, the Eurostar for exploring, then coming home with a case full of continental goodies.
Cat Clements
Trustee
Favourite mode of transport: A lovely long train journey armed with a good book and a strong coffee. Especially along the Scottish coast or across North Yorkshire up to family in Cumbria.
Catherine Casserley
Trustee
Favourite mode of transport: I have always had a love of public transport (probably engendered by the fact that my dad worked for British Rail, as it was then). My favourite form of transport is trains. But I like a ship too!
Chris Mason

Claire Fisher
Trustee
Favourite mode of transport: I love going out on my bike – I can get away from things, exercise and get fresh air all at the same time.
Glyn Kyle MBE

John Dales

Favourite mode of transport: It really depends on the journey, but I’ll pick walking as it’s best for experiencing the place I’m in, for chatting with companions, and for bumping into people.
