Disabled person’s Freedom Pass

Your local borough may decide that they need to re-assess your eligibility for the Freedom Pass. Where this is the case, they will contact you in the months before your Disabled Person’s Freedom Pass is due to expirePlease keep any correspondence from your council regarding your Freedom Pass and carefully read its contents as they might contain the instructions for re-assessment.

Some boroughs started doing this from April 2019. Please respond to any letters from your local borough regarding your Disabled Person’s Freedom Pass.

If you remain eligible for a Freedom Pass, your renewed Disabled Person’s Freedom Pass will be posted to your home address between February – March 2020.

Therefore, if you remain eligible, you do not need to take any action.

Older person’s Freedom Pass

You should automatically receive your Older Person’s Freedom Pass in the post between February – 31st of March 2020; as long as you have not changed your address since it last renewed. If you change your address, you must immediately notify the Freedom Pass helpline at 0300 330 1433.
