Information Release from Dial-a-Ride

Some experiences of the Dial-A-Ride booking line mirror that of a Little Britain character – ‘Computer says no!’

We are therefore pleased to hear that Transport for London is making improvements to the Dial-a-Ride service, in response to the suggestions that customers have made about how they can improve services.

From Monday 26 October, Members will notice some new features including:

  • Automatic estimates of how long it will be before an operator can take their call
  • Easier to understand options to chose from (see below)
  • Music whilst you are on hold

From Monday 26 October

To book: ring on 0845 999 1 999 (020 7309 8900 if your service provider charges you extra to call 0845 numbers) and simply chose option 1 and 1 again

To enquire about the progress of your vehicle ring on 0845 300 4717 (or 020 7309 0015) then press option 1.

To cancel a booking: ring on 0845 300 4717 (or 020 7 309 0015) then press option 2

To let us have your feedback: ring on 020 7446 0251

Please note that the numbers you can use as an alternative to our 0845 numbers have had to change, as has the contact number for raising comments, complaints and suggestions. If you have numbers stored in your mobile phone you may wish to amend your contacts list with the new numbers for the next time you would like to book a journey.

The fax numbers are also changing on the 26th October, so if you fax bookings you will need to use a new number:
020 7394 5210.
