Trams

Journey planning:

Certain smartphone apps, such as Citymapper provide a good way to plan your journey. They provide step-free routes when you search for directions. Please check our Journey Planning page for more information.

Accessibility:

  • Access to all trams is completely step free at all stops (no ramp or other aids required)
  • Stations have tactile markings along the entire length of the stop
  • Tram travel is free to all wheelchair users, even if they are not London residents and do not have a Freedom Pass
  • Assistance dogs are permitted to travel on board
  • Each tram has two wheelchair spaces
  • There is an intercom should you need to speak to the driver in an emergency, as well as an easy-reach stop request button
  • The tram has audio announcements for upcoming stops
