Community
The disabled community is a vibrant, diverse and brilliant community full of individuals working hard to shift attitudes, influence policy, and create meaningful change. As a DPO (Disabled People’s Organisation) – run by and for disabled people – TfA have been dreaming up ways to harness the power of this community.
Our Connector Groups are designed to bring together the leading voices in access, disability, transport and inclusion, to enable a community of people with similar goals to work together in a more strategic and effective way.
We sincerely believe that we are stronger together, and our voice is louder (and clearer) when we are collaborating and approaching issues from the same position. We also know how isolating it can be to be a disabled activist/campaigner, and how exhausting, and we wanted to create a space where we can offer one another peer-to-peer support, and also share skills, expertise, knowledge, and contacts.
