New Data Protection Law – GDPR

Added: 16 May 2018 | Updated: 16 May 2018

Data protection law in the UK is changing. Like many organisations, Transport for All (TfA) is taking steps to ensure we comply with the new law (General Data Protection Regulation, so called GDPR).

The GDPR aims primarily at giving more control to individuals over their personal data.

The protection of the data of our members, supporters and beneficiaries has always been our top priority. Following the new law, we have taken some further action to offer you more flexibility and transparency regarding your data:

Take action – respond to our GDPR communications

We have recently sent various emails and letters to our members, supporters and beneficiaries in order to get their consent to continue to hold their data and keep contacting them.

If you have received this email from us, please respond to it as soon as possible. It is very important that you respond to it if you still want to hear from us in the future or if you still want our Advice Line to support your ongoing case. If you don’t answer yes or don’t send the consent form, you will stop receiving our communications or our support on a specific case after the 25th May 2018.

If you are a member or a beneficiary and haven’t heard from us please do not hesitate to contact us. Also do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions about GDPR:

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. Transport for All is proud to be an independent grassroots charity and we depend on donations and support from our members. Every day Disabled and older people have their lives restricted (or even become housebound) because transport services fail them. Take action so that everyone can access buses with independence

There are two way you could support us and take action for Disabled and older people’s rights to travel:
If everyone who reads our articles/blogs, who likes it, helps to support it, our future would be much more secure.
