On the 18th January 2017, Doug Paulley won a five-year battle, as the Supreme Court made it clear that bus drivers must do more to enforce priority for wheelchair and mobility scooter users. Following this judgement, Transport for London introduced new automatic messages to encourage buggy users (and other non-disabled people) to make space for wheelchair and mobility scooter users. They also created a new leaflet for bus drivers about “Access for wheelchair users on London’s buses.” But have things really improved since the judgement? Registration for this event is now open. You must be a PLMF member to attend. Please register by 9th January 2019.
