Taxicard renewals & other updates

Added: 28 April 2010 | Updated: 28 April 2010

Residents of Tower Hamlets, Kingston and Ealing – look out for your Taxicard renewal form.

Every so often each borough goes through their membership list and sends out renewal forms to try and update their London Taxicard membership.
These forms are required to be filled out and returned so that a member’s membership to the scheme can be continued. Failure to return these forms will cause your membership to be suspended.

This year renewals will be issued to residents of:
Tower Hamlets – May
Royal London Borough of Kingston – June
Ealing – July

Please look out for your forms. If you have moved address and not informed us of your move then your form will not arrive to you.

In the new financial year of 2010 – 2011 some boroughs have decided to change the way they allocate their trips and the amount of trips allocated to each member.
Brent– will keep their allocation of 8 trips per month but will now allow trips to roll over from month to month.
Hillingdon – will increase their trip allocation from 50 to 72 trips per year; given to their members at the beginning of the year.
Merton – will increase their trip allocation from 60 to 72 trips per year; given to their members at the beginning of the year.

Croydon is now joining the list of boroughs which allow you to double swipe your London Taxicard.
Double swiping (also known as stagecoaching) allows a member to use two swipes of their Taxicard to complete one single journey.

More information and regular Taxicard updates are available on London Councils’ Taxicard website
