Access All Areas exhibition and Crossrail action

Transport for All

Access All Areas exhibition...

Access All Areas exhibition

Time? 9.30 – 16.30

Where? A TfL transport accessibility exhibition throughout the day, ExCeL exhibition centre, Royal Victoria Dock, London E16 1XL (nearest station: Prince Regent DLR)

Transport for All will have a stand at TfL’s free ‘’Access for All’’ event. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the transport that is accessible in London, and to challenge TfL to improve our ability to use buses, the Tube and door-to-door transport.

The day will feature a range of interactive exhibits and activities, including life-size mock-ups of Tube and rail stations and street environments; a Q & A session with managing directors of London’s bus companies; workshops and panel discussions. There will also be several other stands from disability and transport organisations. You can view the full agenda here and find out more about the event, including access information, hereClick here to register.

Crossrail action

Please contact us for more info about the time and the place.

It’s a year after our Paralympic Legacy Torch Relay action for an accessible Crossrail. But despite saying he supports a fully accessible Crossrail, Boris Johnson has still refused to confirm if London’s newest railway will be fully accessible by the time it opens. We need committed funding and we need it now!

Transport for All members and supporters will be coming together for a Crossrail access action.

Bring your alarm clocks! Ordering lifts and planning station works takes years. The Mayor needs to hurry up and confirm lifts for the seven Crossrail stations that have been planned without stepfree access. In the ticket hall, we’ll have one minute of alarm clock alarms to remind the Mayor that time is running out – he needs to make a commitment to funding a stepfree Crossrail.

Last year, we came together and won our campaign for a commitment to a stepfree Crossrail. Now we have to come together and demand that there’s funding to make Crossrail accessible from day one. With alarm clocks and placards, let’s show Boris Johnson that it’s high time he put his money where his mouth is. That time is running out to confirm that Crossrail will be stepfree by the time it opens.

See you there.
