Merton Community Transport (MCT) is a not-for-profit charity which has been providing transport solutions for the community in and around the London Borough of Merton since the year 2000.
MCT run a fleet of accessible minibuses and a fully accessible Multi Purpose Vehicle, and these are available to groups or indiviuals who affiliate to either our group scheme or Individual Transport Service.
They can provide a fully trained CRB checked driver, or groups can use their own as long as they have successfully completed the nationally recognised Minibus Drivers Awareness course (MiDAS).
MCT also run training courses so that people can gain their MiDAS certificate and/or the Passenger Assistant Training Scheme (PATS) certificate.
Merton Community Transport can assist groups who already own a minibus with all aspects of the necessary legal requirements regarding regular maintenance and inspections and advice in respect of any changes in the law or local requirements such as low emission zones.
MCT run regular excursions to shopping centres and places of interest which are open to members of our Individual Transport Service or the Merton Scootability Project.
The Merton Scootabilty Project is funded and run in conjunction with the London Borough of Merton, and makes available to those who affiliate, mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs delivered to their home address.
