Bexley Accessible Transport Scheme (BATS) is a thriving community transport scheme.

Founded in July 2004, our aim is to provide affordable, accessible and safe transport for community and voluntary groups in the local area. BATS also operate an individual membership scheme for people with disabilities or who have mobility problems.

BATS offer standard and accessible minibus hire to voluntary and community groups in Bexley. Groups must be established as ‘not for profit’ organisations; for example: elderly persons’ groups, organisations for people with disabilities, Recreation groups, those involved in social welfare, children and young peoples’ groups, or groups whose activities benefit the Bexley community.

BATS operate an individual transport scheme to cater for people with severe mobility problems that prevent them from using public transport. The individual transport service can be booked to cover journeys such as cross borough trips and out of borough shopping journeys, longer distances, airport runs and local holiday transport.
