Member Event – Bus Day of Action

Added: 16 November 2018 | Updated: 16 November 2018

In January 2019, we are organising a new Bus Day of Action to mark the second anniversary of Doug Paulley’s victory at the Supreme Court.
  • When: 18th January 2019, 14:00-17:00 (registration from 13:30)
  • Where: Weare336, 336 Brixton Rd, London SW9 7AA
On the 18th January 2017, Doug Paulley won a five-year battle, as the Supreme Court made it clear that bus drivers must do more to enforce priority for wheelchair and mobility scooter users. Following this judgement, Transport for London introduced new automatic messages to encourage buggy users (and other non-Disabled people) to make space for wheelchair and mobility scooter users. They also created a new leaflet for bus drivers about “Access for wheelchair users on London’s buses”.But have things really improved since the judgement? This event will be the occasion to hear about your experience and evaluate the reality.Registration for this event is now open.

You need to register by the 11th January 2019, if you would like to come to this event (separate booking for the Pan London Mobility Forum.
